London Calling!

Hi friends!

I just got back from an incredible trip to London, and I couldn’t wait to share all the details with you. This city never fails to charm me — it’s rich in history, full of energy, and has this beautiful mix of tradition and modern life. It was my third time in London, and somehow, I fall more in love with it every visit.

This time, I booked my trip through British Airways Vacations, which made planning super easy. I bundled my flight and hotel for $1,400 USD, and it was absolutely worth every penny.

Let’s get into the highlights of the trip — where I stayed, what we did, where we ate, and a few fun extras that made this London visit special.

Where I Stayed: The Resident Victoria

I stayed at The Resident Victoria, just steps away from Buckingham Palace — and I seriously couldn’t have picked a better location. It’s tucked into a quiet side street but still in the heart of everything. The room was sleek, modern, and comfortable, with a handy little kitchenette (perfect for storing snacks or leftovers from all our amazing meals).

What really stood out, though, was the incredible staff. They were warm, helpful, and made the stay feel extra special. One especially thoughtful touch? They delivered handwritten welcome cards to the room — and I even received a bottle of wine with mine! Little moments like that really set the tone and made the whole experience feel more personal and memorable.

Being able to walk to Buckingham Palace in just minutes? Magical.

What We Did

London has no shortage of things to do, but we curated a mix of historical sights, luxe experiences, and gorgeous green spaces:

  • Tower of London – You can’t go to London and skip the Tower. It’s a must-see for history lovers like me. Seeing the Crown Jewels and imagining life inside those walls centuries ago? Goosebumps.
  • Westminster Abbey – Stepping into this iconic church felt like walking through centuries of British history. From coronations to royal weddings, the energy in there is unreal. It’s both grand and humbling — definitely a must-visit.
  • St. Paul’s Cathedral – Absolutely stunning. We took time to walk through the cathedral and admire its jaw-dropping architecture — and if you get the chance, climbing to the Whispering Gallery is 100% worth the effort. The view from the top is breathtaking.
  • Harrods Blowouts – We treated ourselves to blowouts at Harrods — 55 pounds per person, and totally worth it. Nothing like a good hair day to elevate your sightseeing game!
  • Connaught Bar for Martinis – This bar is consistently ranked one of the best in the world — and now I know why. Chic, intimate, and those martinis? Perfection.
  • Walk to Buckingham Palace – It never gets old. We walked over in the early morning and again at sunset. Each time felt magical.
  • St. James’s Park – A picture-perfect park right next to Buckingham Palace. With swans on the lake, blooming flowers, and a stunning view of the London Eye in the distance, it felt like stepping into a postcard. Ideal for a peaceful stroll and a moment to just take it all in.
  • Battersea Park – A peaceful, charming park that feels like a local secret. It’s lovely for a relaxing walk… and yes, if you’re a One Direction fan, you’ll know this was the park where they filmed the “Night Changes” music video. Naturally, I had to walk through it and channel my inner Directioner. No regrets.
  • Regent’s Park – Manicured, elegant, and full of photo-worthy moments. We spent a slow afternoon here soaking up the London vibes.
